Valeri:

Jim and I met each other through WSU connections and would talk at conferences and by email. I liked Jim very much. I am very sorry for your loss. The world and academia lost a very good person on Sunday.

I am a lurker, not a poster, but I am sure a few of you will
remember my husband Jim Dougan from Illinois Wesleyan. I am sad
to report that he died of a massive heart attack on Sunday
evening. He was only 52. My 4 kids and I are still in shock and
disbelief, but we are taking things 1 day at a time, as he taught
us. We will miss him very, very much.
