Just curious if some vitamin supplements work best for some racial and ethnic groups than for others. My suspicion is that it may well be.There is some noted evidence that prescription medication could be,for example a hypertension prescribed drug (nydol, nadol (sp) seem to work better for black folks. And with vitamin supplements having other ingredients from soy and milk products,it could be a factor in the reactive effectiveness with some groups. Unfortunately, long term clinical trials of marketed drugs yield no data on drug interactions by race. And the fact that vitamin and nutritional supplements do not have to meet FDA standards hinders help with the answers.
