Not sure about the miracle issue, I will try to find out more. I am technically a convert but orthodoxy is in my family tree. As far as I know eastern rite is very similar to orthodox, except the pope is at the top of the prayer list. AND eastern rite catholic priests can marry I believe. I wasn't raised in the Orthodox church but Eastern Rite Catholic. There wasn't the same focus on relics (at least that I can remember) but isn't the focus on relics because they are capable of producing miracles?
