When I was at Mizzou.one of my profs was Don Kausler who wrote a text titled Psychology of Verbal Learning and Memory.Apparently recall has somehing to do with the nature of the tasks-paired associate,free recall,serial recall.And there are certain characteristics inherent in the various memory tasks,for example, serial recall seems to genrate primacy-recency effects (although it can occur in the other tasks) and clustering. Just curious,if someone has pondered the role these response senstive factors could play a role.
