I think it has been shown that babies react more intensely to a change in
facial characteristics.Obviously,blowing one's nose
changes the appearance of the face and could be the determinative factor in
the baby's reactions.The baby could have already performing fractional
anticipatory esponses at the sight of napkin on nose.
