I am forwarding the following message for a colleague.
Connecting Minds 2011 - A North American Undergraduate Research Conference in Psychology NOW OPEN for Registration and Abstract Submission http://www.connectingminds.ca The Kwantlen Psychology Department and the Connecting Minds Student Committee is proud to host Connecting Minds 2011 - The North American Undergraduate Research Conference in Psychology. Registration and Abstract Submission is NOW AVAILABLE at www.connectingminds.ca. This year, we are pleased to present a keynote lecture by the esteemed Dr. Michael Shermer. Dr. Shermer is the Founding Publisher of Skeptic magazine, a monthly columnist for Scientific American, and an Adjunct Professor at Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Shermer's keynote lecture for Connecting Minds 2011 will be on "The Believing Brain: From Ghosts and Gods to Politics and Conspiracies". Given Dr. Shermer's reputation for critical analysis (he has frequently appeared on 20/20, Dateline, Oprah, Larry King, The Colbert Report, and TED Talks), his keynote address is sure to be stimulating and exciting!! As last year, CM2011 will showcase some of the best student research across North America. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about graduate school admission procedures and how to write successful SSHRC/NSERC grant applications. We have excellent events planned for facilitating student engagement, including the highly successful Hilton Hotel Pub Night. Please connect with us on Friday June 3rd and Saturday June 4th at Kwantlen University's campus in Richmond, British Columbia. Regards, Dr. Cory L.
