I think that this equivalency is fair based on both my experience with
reading the essays for Psychology and getting to know some students who
have brought these scores to our campus. We move students into the 200
level Psychology courses if they have a score of 4 or 5 on the AP exam.
In general, I find them to be at least as knowledgeable as students who
do well in our intro course.
