I looked at his site briefly (I hated to drive up his stats in Google
analytics, which I'm sure he monitors vigilantly).

I got a laugh out of his description of how a scammer can take advantage of
a large audience and a .5 probability of being correct to groom a dedicated
set of clients who believe you are a financial genius or other wizard who
can predict the future. I recall this exact example as the basis for a
story line of an old MathNet episode about 20 years ago. Anybody a fan of
the old PBS kids programming to promote interest in math? It was a shtick
on Dragnet with two deadpan uniformed mathematics agents (and frequent
snarky comments inspired by the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan
State). What a hoot! I wonder if Lutus is a fan? :-)

As for his crackpot status, rather than refer him to psychologists for
evaluation, I suggest we subject him to analysis by a mathematician (via The
Crackpot Index - one of my favorite metrics).

Have a wonderful day . . . now I am going to start monitoring Nate (sigh).
I say, Go West, young man!
