This comes up a number of times but my question/concern would be if the audiences differ at the two conferences. Any person who views your student's vita will see that they made the same presentation at two different conferences so I'm not convinced it's that much of an ethical issue as a pragmatic one. That is, if their message is of significant import that will likely be appreciate by two distinctly different audiences, I would think it would be acceptable. Joan

Hi, All --

I have an undergraduate student who wants to present the same research at two
conferences. I'm not comfortable with that -- it seems ethically questionable.
But I wanted to get a second opinion.

What do you think about that?

TIA,
