First, I admit that I knew nothing about nude psychotherapy before Jeffry
Ricker's post and I admit that I now know more than I ever wanted to
about nude psychotherapy. Also, it was a reminder to me why some
psychologists have stopped referring to themselves as psychologists
and use another self-identifier like cognitive scientist, neuroscientist,
short-order cook, etc. Also #2, nude psychotherapy's support by Abraham
Maslow just shows that a bad idea won't be immediately dismissed
if someone famous supports it (also #3, see Bem), supporting the
assertion that it's about "who do you know" that's important in life.

Second, one wonders what Bindram and Maslow's reaction might be
to one nudist's activity as reported in this blog entry:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/11/03/horse_oregon/

Now, this entry does not mention nudism but the Seattle Weekly
does as well as providing some pictures (NOTE: definitely not
safe for work [NSFW] or for kid viewing -- first page is only text); see:
http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2011/11/jasha_lottin_portland_nudist_b.php
(I have the feeling that there are many more pictures available on
the internet but I'll leave it to the interested reader to find them)

The key point being, the young women identified as a nudist does
not see what the fuss is about -- a position I'm sure that people
doing nude psychotherapy had about what they were doing.

She is also identified as being from Portland which might be enough
to put one off on watching "Portlandia".
