Mike's post allows for a Teachable Moment, in which we can learn a bit about the cultural milieu of our students. There is a group of "Rules of the Internet" developed by participants on various image boards. Rule 34 is the pertinent one here. According to Urbandictionary.com, Rule 34 is a "generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject." To put it another way: "If it exists there is porn of it." Perhaps my imagination is limited, but the only classroom situation I can think of in which you might use this information is one where a student mentions this rule thinking that you won't know what he (I suspect that it would almost always be a 'he') is talking about.
