Well, I broke down and did the Disney World trip with kids ... there are many 
interesting visual effects to be seen (I was glad to see the 3-D glasses - 
binocular disparity effects - are still used, on the star wars tour), but 
something that puzzled me was the real vs apparent size of the princess castle

from a distance it appears extremely tall, but up close it is actually much 
smaller. I tried to determine if the walls are not plum, tapered to enhance 
linear perspective, but it appears not (I was being pulled along do I did not 
spend much time there ...). The windows on the bottom are larger than those 
higher, and, the spires are smaller on top, perhaps enhancing relative 
size/distance effects. I did a very quick search and found nothing, but maybe 
someone else has experienced this and/or knows more about it than I do ... 
weather shock returning, it was -12 F this morning :-(
