journal is referenced; if it is you can trust it. All the journals
referenced here have a measure of impact factor

However, it could also be that it is not referenced there and be trustful.

I think it is more important to examine the peer review process involved.
Are reviewers independent, qualified, and face no pressure to accept
unsatisfactory articles?  Reputation of Psych journals varies, is
subjective, and is no guarantee of quality or scientific rigor (witness JPSP
and Recent Bem article).
