This isn't actually "new" news but Medscape put out a story on it.  However,
because accessing Medscape articles may require one to register, here's
an article on the situation that available on the Huffinston Post website:

One sentence from the article that sums up the problem is:

|The data showed results from a trial were scientifically significant
|when in fact they were not, according to the lawsuit.

So, big schools (e.g., Harvard), big researchers, and big money
is involved ($15 million grant application). And then there is the
whistleblower, a statistician named Jones who brought the suit
against his "bosees".

It wouldn't surprise me if they made a movie out of it, depending
upon how the trial turns out.
