It is with fond nostalgia that I remember the Fourth of July, especially
the Fourth of July, 2011 when I made this post to Tips:

So, who really cares what actually happened on the Fourth of July?
It's just another reason to take the day off, have some barbecue, drink
some beverages of varying degrees of toxicity, get a sun burn, and
watch some fireworks go off (NOTE: for those in wildfire areas, you
better limit watch the fireworks on TV -- Macy's does a fabulous job).

If you're not in the Good Old U. S. of A., do you really need to be
convinced to party in the middle of the week? Sure, I know
some folks elsewhere have to work -- I am tremendously enjoying
the "grilling" that Bob Diamond of the Barclay's bank is getting
by members of Britain's members of parliament on CNBC; see:

If you don't want to celebrate U.S. independence, surely you can
celebrate the relentless questioning of incompetent bankers, right?

Hey! Throw another banker on the barbie! ;-)
