The quote about "lies, damned lies, and statistics" is most often associated 
with Mark Twain, because he used it in one of his books, but he said he got it 
from someone else (Disraeli). There's actually a controversy over who said it 
first, especially when considering small variations, such as "fibs, outright 
lies, and statistics." I refer you to the Wikipedia article - yes, I know.
