Carol,
Take a look at Inquist from Millisecond
http://www.millisecond.com/
I have used it in the past and found it user-friendly enough.

Subject: [tips] suggestions for simple reaction time program

Hi,
Some of my students are developing a project in which they want to use a simple
reaction time program. The gist of it is that they want to look at reaction
time in the presence of visual or auditory distractors. I don't have a budget
for this so I'm looking for freeware and hoping some TIPSters will have
suggestions. We've looked at OPL as well as PsychLabOnline and DelphiforFun.
Each has little problems that make them less than ideal. Any other ideas? I and
my students thank you for any help you can provide.
Carol
