The WHEATON COLLEGE Department of Psychology (Norton, MA) invites
applications for three positions each beginning in the fall of 2013.
We seek colleagues who share our commitment to liberal arts education
in the context of a gender-balanced, culturally diverse curriculum and
community. Our teaching includes an emphasis on field-based learning
including lab courses, internships, and the integration of our Amen
Nursery School observational research lab. Our nine member department
provides a supportive intellectual and social context for the
development of new colleagues, including fully paid, pre-tenure
sabbaticals for one semester. For more information about our

Two tenure-track assistant professorships, one in clinical psychology
and one in developmental psychology (preferably early childhood).
Clinical psychology candidates should be prepared to teach five
courses per year, including abnormal, research methods, and an
upper-level seminar related to a specialty area within clinical
psychology. Developmental psychology candidates should be prepared to
teach five courses per year including developmental, research methods,
a developmental psychology lab course, and an upper-level seminar in
developmental psychology (e.g., linguistics). For either position, we
are particularly interested in candidates whose work relates to
cross-cultural psychology, neuroscience, and/or qualitative research.
A two-year visiting professor position in Social Psychology.
Candidates should be prepared to teach three courses per semester
including social psychology, research methods, and an upper-level
seminar course in an area related to social psychology.
