An article on the Quarterly Review of Biology is being covered by a
number of media outlets because it argues that (a) there appears to be
no "gay gene" but (b) epigenetic experiences in the womb (i.e., levels
of hormones that may switch genes on or off) may give rise to homosexuality.
One semi-popular media account is given by ScienceNOW; see:
http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2012/12/homosexuality-may-start-in-the-w.html

And the original research article is available on Jstor and can be
accessed here:

So, being gay might be mom's fault after all! ;-) ;-) ;-)

P.S. I didn't comment on the James Bond/Gay thread because I haven't
see "Skyfall" yet but, I thought, the obvious question to ask was did
Bond attend a traditional British "public" (i.e., private) school? Such
schools are all male and it not surprising for a little slap and tickle to
occur (no, I don't mean Australian Football).
