Sorry to hear about Phil Rushton having died. Despite his more notorious

I've been catching up on TIPS posts today. Jim mentioned Rushton's
appearance
on Geraldo, which occurred on February 16th, 1989, just a few months after
Geraldo's nose was broken during a fight that broke out among his guests on
another show in which he focused on racism
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5rCInKxSaQ).
I remember the Rushton appearance well because my dissertation advisor,
Jerry
Hirsch, was a guest on that show (I had been a graduate student in his lab
until receiving my Ph.D. in 1987). He had been brought on to debate
Rushton.
After Hirsch gave an overly long, convoluted, academic answer to a
question,
Geraldo never returned to him. My former advisor was not someone to throw
chairs around a set.
Did your advisor and Rushton compare the size of their penes? Because,
you know, according to Rushton, the guy with the smaller penis is smarter.
;-)
Which makes one wonder if Rushton was overcompensating for something.
