Ah! Funny how "True Love" seems to blossom on St. V's Day!
That or the rush of memories of all of the failed relationship one has been in.
Anyway, online dating and "matching services" are supposed to
get "compatible" people together and I am sure that they do so
with a great degree of success. ;-) <--NOTE

But did you know that the first computer dating or matching attempt
started out a an undergraduate project at Stanford U back in 1959?
But don't just take my word for it, check out this video from the
NY Times website:

Movie fans will remember that computer dating played a big role
in the 1971 "Harold and Maude", to hilarious black comedy effect.
For those who are not familiar with this movie, see:

As for myself, I'm going to watch the "Princess Bride" tonight. ;-)

P.S. Although I have no evidence on this point, I'm sure a number of
people must have fallen in love with Weizenbaum's computer program
"Eliza"; for ELIZA, see:

Afterall, what is love if it isn't unconditional positive regard and support. ;-)
