As most Tipsters must now know, being the news mavens that they
are, a meteor blew up in the sky over Russia today. Evidence of the
meteor's streak and explosion was provided by numerous car dash cams
that captured the meteor's fate. This event, of course, leads to a
natural question:
Why do so many Russians have dash cams?
The Wired website is also concerned with this question and has

Quoting one person who commented on the story:

Either that or Russians really love to post videos to YouTube
