All- We have a visiting assistant opening for someone in cognitive psychology

followed by a national tenure track search next year. We are a small, 5 person, 
department with approximately 100 majors.

“The Department of Psychology at The College of Idaho invites applications for 
a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 26, 2013. 
Preference will be given to candidates from cognitive, experimental, or a 
related area of psychology. The primary responsibility is teaching experimental 
research methods and labs and an introductory course in cognitive psychology.  
Additional teaching duties include introductory psychology or introduction to 
psychological science courses. This is a one-year replacement position; it is 
likely that a national search to fill a tenure-track position will follow next 
year (for September, 2014).


Commitment to undergraduate teaching and the liberal arts are primary criteria. 
Ph.D. strongly preferred. Candidates who can actively support undergraduate 
students in research activities are strongly encouraged to apply.  The usual 
teaching load is 3-1-3. The department facilities include E-Prime, medium and 
small research rooms with computers, and a TOBII eye-tracker. Application 
should include CV, statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, and 
three letters of recommendation. At least one letter must address teaching.
