Sorry in advance for cross-posting! I had a student approach me after class today with an interesting question. He is interested in writing a horror story, but he is looking for some psychological insight on terror specifically, what makes us afraid, and how that might be different from horror more broadly. I couldn't give him any resources off the top of my head that would apply to writing, but I thought someone on this list might have some ideas. If you have any suggestions for resources I can recommend to this student, I would really appreciate it.
