I am only referring to Canadians in U.S restaurants.A sample of
Canadian tourists visiting Daytona Beach validates my point.Ask anyone
working in the hospitality management business will confirm this.
Many people here depends on tips and Canadian tourists here are perceived as
cheap.And if one is Scottish-Canadian one gets a double whammy let down on
tips. As the cross-cultural dude on Tips,here are my observations
Bikers are the best tippers
Nascar fans are moderate tippersand
Blacks tend to order the top shelf and most expensive liquor and tip
ccordingly
Germans have lots of expendible money
The Canadian lack of tipping behavior has been attributed to the idea that
Canada has a gratuity tax and Canadians visitors may assume the same for the
U.S
