Guess what day it is today 3/14/15? No, not St. Patrick's day
or the first day of spring (both yet to come) but Pi day!
You know Pi, right? Learned so long ago and though around
us everywhere and everyday, few psychologists seem to use
it (except for some wags who use it a response in a magnitude
estimation task). Well, people who care about Pi are letting
the rest of use know that it is Pi day, such s this op-ed in
the NY Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/14/opinion/manil-suri-on-pi-day-celebrate-maths-enigmas.html?emc=edit_th_20150314&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=389166&_r=0
and the UK Guardian:
http://www.theguardian.com/science/alexs-adventures-in-numberland/2015/mar/14/pi-day-2015-william-jones-the-welshman-who-invented-pi
And the Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/03/13/how-to-observe-pi-day-2015/

Now, if you just woke up and haven't had your first cup of coffee
(or tea) of the day, you might want to wait until you have a nice
hot cup of Joe reading the articles about Pi.

P.S. It was either this story or the one on the penis transplant but
I didn't want to upset the r-K enthusiasts. ;-)
