Sheldon conducted a fairly sophisticated long-term research project in which he
gathered data from men. He found evidence of correlations between his body
types and his personality types. His work has been criticized on methodological
grounds, but it is worth noting that Sheldon recognized weaknesses in his work
and was cautious in his conclusions.
