The Department of Psychology at Appalachian State University invites
applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position in
Clinical Psychology at the rank of Lecturer beginning August 15, 2015.
A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology is preferred, but candidates who are ABD
will also be considered. Candidates will be expected to teach
undergraduate psychology courses and graduate courses in our Clinical
Psychology Masters program, including a graduate course in Cognitive
Assessment. Candidates with documented excellence in teaching graduate
and undergraduate courses in psychology and with providing clinical
supervision may be given preference.
Appalachian State University is a member institution of the
sixteen-campus University of North Carolina. Located in Boone, North
Carolina, the University has approximately 17,500 students, primarily in
bachelor’s and master’s programs in both liberal arts and applied
fields. Appalachian has a traditional residential campus and a variety
of distance education programs. The Department has 36 full-time faculty
members (34 doctoral, 32 tenure-track) with graduate programs in
Clinical, Experimental, Industrial-Organizational and Human Resource
Management, and School Psychology. There are approximately 900
undergraduate majors and 84 full-time graduate students. Additional
