Due to an unexpected personnel change, w?e recently had two sections of Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience become available for teaching by part-time faculty at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, MA (a town located approximately an hour west of Boston). We have 2 sections to cover and the times are Tuesday/Thursday 8-9:15 & Tuesday/Thursday 2-3:15. Classes begin next Thursday, September 3rd (very soon, I know). Each section is 30 students. I have included the description of the course below and the last instructor has indicated that he would be willing to share all his course materials. ? PSY 2140: Intro Cognitive Neuroscience Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience serves to introduce and cultivate an appreciation of the complexity of cognitive functioning, behavior and their relationship with the brain. The course is designed to take a systems approach to understanding issues related to the study of brain, mind, and social relations. The course will introduce scientific findings from the fields of biology, psychology, linguistics, and computer science. Students will learn how this multidisciplinary approach is leading the way to answering some of humankind's most enduring questions related to 'mind', 'awareness', 'knowing', 'believing', 'reality', and 'free will'. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested and available to teach one or both of these sections, please email me as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much,
