Subject: The new MCAT

The new MCAT went into effect this year .Twenty- five percent of the test items
are Psychology and Sociology related-in recognition of the role psychological
and sociological factors
play in health and disease.
MCAT administrators reported that an unsually high number of students took
the test
in the last five years because they were trying to avoid the behavioral and
social science mandate..
I personally think that the background in Psychology is adjunctive, but on
second thought
would you want a Primary care physician shoving his hand up your --- to
examine the
prostate with some psychology background? or the dude or dudette asking you
 to say
AAH while ringing a bell? or a worse case scenario, you are given a bottle
of placebo capsules and fold to call back in the morning.
