each in childhood studies, learning, and biological psychology. Following the

Early Childhood Studies

The Department of Psychology and Human Development at California State 
University San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure-track position at 
the assistant professor level in Early Childhood Studies, effective September 
14, 2016. Area of concentration within early childhood is open. A Ph.D. in 
early childhood studies, child development, human development, or developmental 
psychology is required at the time of appointment.

The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and graduate 
courses in infant, toddler, and early childhood development; programs and 
curriculum for young children; early childhood literacy; diversity in child 
development; social development, and an advanced seminar in development. The 
opportunity to teach other courses of the candidate’s choosing is available as 
well. Demonstrated excellence in university teaching is essential. 
Additionally, the successful candidate must have an active and viable research 
program in which he/she can supervise, mentor, and involve undergraduate and 
graduate students. Potential for securing external funding is also desirable.

Learning Psychology

The Department of Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino 
invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor 
level in Learning Psychology, effective September 14, 2016. A Ph.D. in 
experimental psychology, animal behavior, behavioral neuroscience, or applied 
behavior analysis is required at the time of appointment.

We are looking for an individual who is an expert on theoretical learning. This 
person should be fully conversant with the foundations, mechanisms, and theory 
underlying habituation, sensitization, Pavlovian (classical) conditional, 
instrumental conditioning, reinforcement, choice behavior, stimulus control, 
aversive control, and higher-order conditioning.  Are of concentrations is 
open. The successful candidate must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate 
courses in learning and motivation, and is expected to demonstrate strong 
abilities in research, teaching, and supervision of undergraduate and graduate 
theses. Additional courses in the candidate’s area of specialization will be 
available. The ability to obtain external funding is highly desirable.

Biological Psychology

The Department of Psychology at California State University San Bernardino 
invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor 
level in Biological Psychology, effective September 14, 2016. Individuals with 
research interests in drug addiction, neurobiology of learning and memory, and 
psychopharmacology are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in behavioral 
neuroscience, experimental psychology, or a related area is required at the 
time of appointment.

The successful candidate will have the expertise to teach courses in various 
areas of biopsychology as well as animal learning and is expected to 
demonstrate strong abilities in research, teaching, and supervision of 
undergraduate and graduate theses. The ability to obtain external funding is 
also highly desirable.
