The Department of Psychology at the College of Idaho is searching for a candidate with a PhD in Social Psychology or related field with an emphasis on scientific psychology. Specifically, we are looking for someone who will regularly teach our core course Introduction to Social Psychology as well as general psychology and/or Introduction to Psychological Science. Interest in teaching Applied Statistics (statistics for psychology)or another methods course is also desirable. The department is a very collegial group of six in a small liberal arts college (enrollment is approximately 1100 undergraduates). Department faculty also assist in guiding senior theses or projects (about 4 - 6 per year). Some start-up funds are anticipated. The committee desires someone with the PhD but will consider ABD if completion is anticipated prior to the beginning of the contract. Applicants must be employable in the US at the time of hiring and throughout the contract without sponsorship by the College. We are located near Boise, Idaho's capital city, with quick access to mountain biking, skiing at Boise's municipal ski area (Nordic and Alpine), and a host of other outdoor activities are within 45 min- an hour drive. Internationally rated ski areas are only a few hours up the road.
