Okay, I know, "intersexuals" is the currently accepted term for
people who were once called hermaphrodites but the point remains. For more on the topic of intersexuality, see the NOVA PBS website:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/body/fausto-sterling.html
And the Wiki entry on Anne Fausto-Sterling's "Sexing the Body":

Also, from the news programs I've watched on the law
banning transgenders from bathrooms that don't match
the sex on their birth certificate, I have to ask: don't
lavatories down there have doors on their stalls? I mean,
if there are doors, how does one know what is going on
the stall (e.g., snorting cocaine, taking a nap, eating a
piece of pie, etc.)? So, what's the point? If NC can't
afford doors on their bathroom stalls, they've got bigger
problems than having transgender people in the "wrong"
lav.
