i know about the jump back to the start with the 30 sec skip feature - i actually consider that feature a positive one.
sometimes when i am watching a program, i want to go back to an earlier point in the program, but one that isn't necessarily near the start. since the "jump to tick" feature (which can be activated when TiVo is in any of the fast forward speeds) works faster going forward than the fastest rewind speed goes backwards - (read that again - it will make sense!) if i am near the end of the program, i use the "jump to tick" to quickly get near the end of the recording, then use the 30 sec skip to jump back to the beginning, then use the "jump to tick" to get to the spot on the recording that i am looking for. may seem like a lot of trouble, but i have found it to be a faster way to get to a desired point on a recording, especially if the point is far from the end, but not right at the beginning. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . ------------------------ Yahoo!
