I'm hoping you can help - I looked through previous messages but didn't find the same problem.... A couple of months ago - I tried using my remote and I thought that the batteries we dying cause it wouldn't change the channel right away so I switched the batteries and still nothing. I have another TIVO in the living room and when I went in there the remote worked fine. I unplugged the unit and when it powered back up - everything seemed fine. Afew days later I noticed on a show I was watching in playback that the words weren't matching the mouths - but that too went away. About a week ago I went to use the remote and it was like it was possessed - I'd want to go to season pass manager and hit the button once for it to go down and it would fly to the bottom and then it would blink as I would hear a tone repeat about ten times (like I had hit the down button and held it down even though it was at the end of the listing) - I tried to click once to go up and it would do it in reverse. I was able to stop it on the system info line and I did a reboot of the system. Last night it started to do the same thing - but this time I noticed that I couldn't ff - well I could hit it once for the slow ff, but not the 3 clicks I usually do.
