Hi Group,
Loyal and dedicated TiVo fan here. I belong to Cablevision iO Group
too. Numererous issues with the SA 8300 DVR are posted there. I
like to be a nudge and respond to issue postings that I do not have
the same issue with my TiVo! I recommened Cablevision toss the 8300
and make a deal with TiVo like Comcast.

Anyway, I have a new Series 2 with 140 hours that I recently
purchased to replace my hard drive-crashed Series 1.

Got a USB wireless adapter, too, so I could watch recordings on my
laptop. Transfers are slow. I have two questions.

1. Would changing to an 802.11g wireless router improve transfer
speeds? My laptop is new and supports 802.11g.

2. The recent TiVoToGo update from TiVo seems to permit me to watch
recordings without having to enter a password as I did before. Was
this feature a part of the TiVoToGo update? Other than that I see no
discernable difference between the two versions.

TiVo is the best. I look forward to an HD version soon.
