Just a thought…. I have 3 Sony TV’sthey all are operated by remotes
other then the OEM Sony remotes that they camewith at time of purchase. What I
have noted is that on the more expensivehigh end Sony televisions the DirecTV
remote and satellite receiver remoteswork better then on the mid range and
cheapo Sony’s. The originalremotes for all the high end Sony TV works no
matter what direction you pointit towards, if it is in the same room and
nothing like a pillow or a body iscompletely covering the remote it will
function. I just think the betterthe remote and TV the better the beam spread
it, but that’s just a theoryof mine.

Subject: [TiVo Central] Remotewith Sony TV?
I have a wierd problemoperating my Sony TV with
the TiVo remote. It seems to be intermittant. The
volume control works fine, completely reliable.
The mute, power, and TV input buttons are very
intermittant. They work, but usually I have to
push them several times. The remote works fine
with the TiVo and as I said, the volume control.
I tried all the codes shown for it, none work
any better. Has anyone else had this problem?
Oh, The TiVo and remote are Humax (300 hour,
series 2).
