I bought an R-15 upon the assurance that it would only cost me the $5/mo
mirroring fee (I already have a couple of DirecTivos, and that has been true
with each of those). I called DirecTV to activate it, and then found that the
DVR feature was disabled. I called them back, and they told me that it would
be $5/mo for mirroring the additional receiver, PLUS 5.99/mo for the DirecTV
Plus DVR service, if I wanted to use the DVR feature of the R-15. I told them
to deactivate the R-15, and I returned it the same day. I'll just find another
DirecTivo.
