Once upon a time Dave in Boston shaped the electrons to say... > It appears that my Tivo now allows me to record podcasts!
No, it allows you to *listen* to podcasts. They're not recorded on the unit, they're streamed realtime from the server. > Do the Podcasts I record with Tivo use the space on the DVR that would limit > TV recording? No, since they're streamed they don't use any storage on the TiVo at all. The downside is, you don't have any trickplay ability since it is a stream - no pause, rewind, fastforward, etc. If you want those abilities look at http://www.galleon.tv/ - one of the features of Galleon is a local podcast proxy server that buffers them on your PC and then streams to the TiVo. So you can pause, etc, because it does that on the server on the PC. -MZ -- <URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org> Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me.
