Hi there! I have an ED TV and my TV signal is provided by Direct TV through a
DirectTivo
(Hughes model). I just bought a HD TV and I want to get a HD DirectTivo, but
I want the two
Tivo units to connect over a network. I understand this is impossible because
the USB ports
are disabled. So I've considered breaking up the components, buying a HD
DirectTV receiver
and new Series2 Tivo units, but I just found out that my signal won't be HD
when sent
through Tivo to the TV. This leaves me in a bit of a situation. It would
appear that I have to
either switch TV carriers and go to another DVR or give up the dream of
networking the units.
Does anyone have any advice to the contrary?
