I have tinkered with the settings of my wireless data card on the laptop and in "Devices" in "System" of "Control Panels" changed it to "54 G" instead of default "801.b" and the speed of transfer of data is significantly higher. Normally 1 hour TiVo show takes about 1:15-1:30 to transfer, now it's about 45 minutes. I'll watch it for other transfers. But was very pleased to discover that. Don't know why the card is not automatically configured to "54 G" because it is. The next show behind it is showing 1:45 but it has not started the transfer yet. Discovered this by chance when I was helping one of my clients to set up the wireless network for his laptop and we compared our settings.
