Hi Melanie, It hasn't been a problem for me. I just click "clear" to delete the program and not worry about it. Sure, it's in the "recently deleted" folder, but eventually, all of those programs will just "go away" as I record others. I recently acquired a used TiVo box that came with many hours of programs that I will not be watching. I am just leaving them in the folder and eventually they'll go away.
