Yes, My Comcast cable box has the capability to decode close
captions and transmit the overlaid text to my none cc capable TV monitor.
Exposure to a lot of loud noise while in the military has reduced my hearing
to the point where the captions are needed for me to fully understand whatÂ’s
going on on the TV.
