Ok so here it is,
Can not get the Tivo Wireless G adapter to work at all

Got a Tivo series 2 running 8.1,
Tivo wireless g adapter,
Belkin wireless g router WAP/PSK with AES (adapter suppoerts this, per
docs),
comcast cable.

Wasted two days attempting to get the wireless adapter to connect to
the router. Keep getting the utterly useless error messages,
1. Doesn't see the adapter try plugging it in again. It is connected,
tried both top and bottom usb ports and also tried rebooting the tivo,
several times. The adapter lights up and looks for and finds wireless
networks and adds them to the list.

2. If it gets past that, it'll tell me the password is entered wrong,
It's not! I did that also, even changed the router password to see if
it didn't like the format of the original one. Tried both hex and
alpha, I actually have it committed to memory now that I've entered it
so many times.

3. Can't get ip from DHCP. I have DHCP set up and all machines on the
network are happily receiving an ip.

I also tried assigning the tivo a static IP, and making sure that the
MAC address of the tivo was specifically assigned in the router as one
that can access the network. So I tired dynamic and static ips and
adjusted the router accordingly.

I'm at the end of my rope and am just about to return the adapter
unless someone here has a beacon of light to shed on the subject.
Hopefully someone here has had this same experience and has managed to
get this thing up and running. Look forward to responses.
Thanks.
