Once upon a time op_jon_goldberg shaped the electrons to say... > I have one tivo in the house due to limitations. I want to transmit > the signal from that tivo/TV to my upstairs TV to be able to watch > when upstairs. Does anyone know of a way to do this using perhaps my > home wifi network, or some other transmitter?
There are video senders that you can use to send video to other rooms, and you need a remote (IR) repeater to send the control signals back to the source. The simplest way to get it working is probably to wait a few months and pick up a Slingbox for the TiVo and a SlingCatcher for the other room. The Slingbox is available now, but the SlingCatcher was just announced and is supposed to be out mid-year. Then you could also use the Slingbox from outside the home, etc. More useful than single-purpose video senders. -MZ -- <URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org> Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me.
