We just recently switched to cable and now have a new cable box to deal with. I'm finding that when it needs to switch to a 2-digit channel, the TiVo handles it fine. But when the channel has 3 digits, it works less than half the time. Typically the middle digit is missed by the cable box, so instead of switching to 267 we wind up on 27.
Is there any way to fine tune the channel changing? I wonder if the 3 digits are coming too quickly for the cable box to handle. Probably obvious, but the channel control is via the IR blasters. This is a TiVo series 2, and a Motorola digital cable box from Time Warner. Thanks. - Jeff
