Once upon a time Dave in Boston shaped the electrons to say... > Whats the purpopse of Galleon? > What does it do?
A number of things - See http://galleon.tv/content/view/12/27/ It can replace TiVoDesktop in several ways. For example, with Galleon you can trigger TiVoToGo transfers from the TiVo to the PC - from the TiVo instead of the PC. Galleon has a number of modules which you can configure as you want - weather, movies, music, photos, video, Podcasts, RSS feeds, email reading, etc. Some of these things have since been added by TiVo as standard feaures, like Weather, but Galleon can provide more - like satellite photos. And Galleon's Podcast player can pause, rewind, etc, unlike the one on the TiVo. Galleon was the first application to offer most of these, well before TiVo did. It started out as JavaHMO back before TiVo released Home Media Engine. Galleon was the nest-generation of development. -MZ -- megazone-at-megazone.org http://www.MegaZone.org/ Gweep, Geek, Human, me. http://www.TiVoLovers.com/ http://www.Eyrie-Productions.com/ -><- Hail Eris "A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men" 508-852-2171
