I'm still getting occasional blank recordings on one of my DirecTiVos. I have replaced all the wiring, so other than replacing the DirecTiVos themselves the only thing left is to replace the multiswitch. It's highly intermittent, making it hard to pin down what change makes the problem go away.
I don't recognize any of the manufacturer names I came up with on a Google search, and no-one carries them locally any more.
