Just be aware that adding time on the end of the program could create conflicts with other season passes, and the higher priority program will record. Change the season pass, but then check the ToDo list a little while later (it takes time to update), and make sure you didn't create any conflicts.
Also, check the program guide for a later showing of the same program, if you avoid the slot right after a game, at some point they skip program to get thing back on schedule. Very easy to do with cable networks that replay stuff a dozen times, not so much with network programs, but still worth a look to see if they replay it after midnight.
