Hi Lori, Yes, you can hook up the Tivo to broadband without a computer. However, it is unlikely you would have purchased broadband without a computer. Are you subscribing to broadband service from either your Cable company or Telephone company?
If not, then the network your Tivo is detecting is probably a neighbor's network which is password protected. You won't be able to access that network unless your neighbor is willing to share their password with you.
